Many thanks to the great folks at The Green Garage for inviting us to deliver our inaugural presentation at their bi-weekly Community Lunch on March 6 to talk about the origins of the Detroit Music District and what we envision for the future of creating a music district for Detroit. It was a great experience that our board chair Sharon Banks and I thoroughly enjoyed. It was also great to meet Nick Sample, son of the late great jazz pianist Joe Sample. Nick is a recent emigre to Detroit and is doing great things for the music community here and elsewhere. Check out what he is about at holican.io
